Hey there.
Yes, count me in. I will be staying at a backpackers in BOndi on Saturday night. So, I will need to get from Bondi to this meeting point. Is there any place I can meet people on the way o should I just head up the hwy????
Also, I need to be in Jindabyne Sunday night, remembering I will get there via the coast road.... Any recommendations?
Skuffy
If you want to head for the south coast, the easiest way is on the return leg of the trip at Blacktown take the M7 south, exit left on to the M5, take the 2nd exit off the M5 and follow the road towards Wollongong and South.
If you want an inland route, no where near as good, but will save time over heading back to Sydney. Head for Bathurst, then south to Cowra, take the Lachlan Valley Way, Cross the Hume onto Barton Way into Canbera, then head south via Cooma to Jindabyne.
A 2nd inland route would be once you hit the Hume head south-west to the Snowy Mountain Hwy.

1). Any chance you could get me a map, hand-drawn, showing the best route there
2). Any chance I could follow you up to the meeting point Sunday morning?? I will be in Bondi...

Perfect plan...... Meet at 7:00pm and see what happens..... Go riding and scare the locals... upset the police and then go drinking.... Well, for me anyway.... Unless the G/F lets you crash at the backpackers.....

Hey Pete, screw-em... lets be 1% people
Probably a good idea. Give it a title like..... Saturday Night Madness - Mexican Style... Actually, you know what might be a good idea, go for a ride, have some laughs and then goto a VERY popular spot in Sydney (Like Melbourne's Chapel St) and have Mexican for dinner...... Suppose we can do it in Bondi.
OK, here is the plan, there is a Mexican place in Bondi... Lets organise a dinner for 8:30pm, Saturday night, Bondi. See who turns up???? Gives us 1.5 hours to run riot....

Too late Skuff, already put in an 'event'.
How do you feel about BBQ seafood with ocean views...
Sir Skuffy

08-Mar-2006, 14:54
Ever heard of the Newport Arms?? Best damn pub in Sydney. I think it's got the biggest beer garden in NSW, views right over pittwater, beee-yooo-diful women everywhere... And a BBQ seafood platter to die for.
It'd mean riding for a while up the scenic coast roads of Sydney. Can you handle that??
Sir Skuffy
08-Mar-2006, 14:57
YEEEEHAAAAAAAAA. Sounds great.....

I can see it now...... A pic of me on the cover of the Sunday Morning Paper being chased by he police.....    With the caption..... Mexican illegally crosses brigde

For those that are wanting to attend that may be learners, i would say this ride is fairly easy for a lerner rider IF you have road experience (car)
I believe there is a Gas station near the glenbrook infomation.

For the Blue Mtns ride just thought I'd mention that the Glenbrook Centre to Wentworth Falls is only about a twenty minute ride at the most.
Perhaps some of those going have never seen the Three Sisters? Turn left at Katooma, turn left at the roundabout, turn right at the second roundabout, follow Katoomba St. (down a steep hill)Signs at end of street pointing to the Three Sisters. Huge turning circle for buses, park up there to take a quick picture with mtn views behind.
Katoomba to the Farmhouse is about another fifteen minutes.
The Hydro Majestic used to be the place to stop for a coffee but new owners and most of it closed to non guests now. But stop in the driveway car park, walk over to the old stone wall tennis courts for panoramic view over Megalong Valley. The Hydro is on the main road on the left as you enter Meadlow Bath, after leaving Katoomba. Or park outside the Hydro, for those who dont like gravel driveways.
I am working next three weekends, have fun.

If i work weekends ,i only need to work 1 week day ,more time off .
But need to find more weekday riders .
I can have anyday off with 24hr notice ,I've just had to many weekends off latley.
The tank guard you can get at any motorcycle store ,mine was $40 fitted by them.
I have seen carbon looking ones ,there is a 100 different styles but i think there abit more $$.
Just get them to fit it ,i would of stuffed it up for sure.
right on jaqhama
i seen the three sisters may times, via look out, air, and while playing 'cliffhanger' nearby. if any1 wants to see some of that stuff speak up.

Lucky you, heaps of time off for riding!
At the moment i pretty much have all weekdays free and in need of clocking up riding time and experience. (No i'm not on the dole, and no i'm not a bum!)
Yeah, don't think i can fit a tank guard on straight without pulling it off and sticking it back on a few dozen times. Though maybe a piece of string as a centering line down the middle of bike might help?
oops, i wont be there now...
put me in as a maybe at this stage :)

Yes it will look carbon fibre with out the red squares instead of the grey. They will cost about $15-$25 depending on the brand.

Why does everyone i meet always start off a description of this person with "eccentric"? You've met this person only once before Jaq, and only seen the dusting of icing sugar :P
If being a millionairess involves vanity so deep it lies on the surface and in the shallow, and thought as light as cotton candy......(this brings Paris Hilton to mind)..... then no, fortunately not a millionairess. Though i'm sure my father doesn't find this so fortunate when he's forking over the money
See you all there ride safe on the way to meeting point
Hey Infinity, you've got to admit that you made a PRETTY BIG first impression on Tuesday. I'm sure the boys have only the best of intentions, don't be too hard on them

Finished with uni for now, going back next year i think. Have a molecular biology and genetics advanced science degree, with double major. After break will probably go back to do honours and a PhD if i can.

All is good though canyon is keen to wash all of our bikes this friday afternoon at his place! I think he even has coffee and cakes for us while we wait :)
oh by the way found my key!!!!!
Now i dont have to spend $150 to get a new one cut by dealership.
